During the past few months, I and a number of band club officials boarded a project in order to create ethical standards between local band clubs which form part of the Għaqda Każini tal-Banda.
After, the annual general meeting held in April 2017, the task force started discussions on how to move forward in order to regularise and prepare for a better future for our band clubs.
For this reason on April 28th at 9.30 am, at Tas-Silġ Complex in Marsaxlokk, a workshop and discussion, named ‘It-Triq ‘Il Quddiem’, will be held for all band clubs, musical directors, and committee members in order to give details on what was discussed within the task force and the central committee of the entity.
During this workshop, there will be hosting a number of speakers, including Prof. Mark Borg from the University of Malta, myself and other task force members giving details on the way forward.
Members of the local band central committees, especially delegates for musicians, and musical directors and their assistants are, highly requested to attend and apply to reserve there place by sending an email to ghkb48@yahoo.co.uk.
